This new variety is the world's first hybrid pakchoi with beautiful dark purple leaves and green petioles, developed by Tokita seed company in Japan. Plants are very good in uniformity and easy to grow. Leaves can be harvested at any stage, used as baby leaves at the early stage or full size vegetable at the later stage. Young leaves with no pungent taste make salad more attractive. This variety is now one of the most popular baby leaves widely used in gourmet restaurants in Japan.
